Orssom Performance products are NOT Vacuum formed or Rotational moulded like some cheaper intakes in today's market, which use recycled plastic material. Our intakes are manufactured using Factory OEM Plastic material similar to whats found on other plastic components under your bonnet. Those other cheaper brands within time, will not stand up to the under bonnet temperatures resulting in, Cracking / Distorting, Air filters falling out of them and finally, find there way in the rubbish bin. "No wonder the "Orssom Performance" brand is the VF Holden owner's most popular choice when it comes to Over The Radiator Cold Air Intakes".

Yes. The Orssom Performance Cold Air Intake is engineered to fit seamlessly on both automatic and manual transmission models. Whether you’re driving a VF SS, SSV, or an HSV variant with the 6.0L or 6.2L V8 engine, the intake has been designed to clear factory components and mount without modification. You don’t need any extra brackets or parts, just install and enjoy the performance upgrade.
It can, but it’s not guaranteed. Many owners see similar or slightly better highway economy thanks to reduced pumping losses; around town, a heavier right foot or big cams may offset gains. Economy comes down to tune quality, cruising AFRs/Timing, and your driving style, not just the intake hardware.
Yes. The OTR installs using factory mounting points and is fully reversible. Keep your original airbox and ducting; your tuner can flash an OEM-style calibration if you decide to return the car to stock for sale, warranty, or inspection.
Any intake will show higher IATs when stationary. Once moving, the OTR’s forward position feeds cool ambient air from the grille, typically delivering lower IATs than a hot engine-bay pickup. For best consistency, ensure good duct sealing, a clean filter, and a tune that handles IAT-based timing trims sensibly.
Yes, the hardware is compatible. Whether AFM/DoD remains active is a tuning decision; many owners disable it during a MAFless calibration for sound and consistency. Discuss pros and cons with your tuner based on how you use the car (daily vs track vs towing).
Your tuner will specify the IAT strategy, often adding or relocating a dedicated IAT sensor in the OTR tract for accurate temperature readings. Correct IAT placement is critical for stable fuelling and spark in speed-density mode. Follow your tuner’s wiring and placement instructions exactly.

Before installing your new Cold Air Intake there are a few simple steps that have to be followed along the way >>>>
This intake is designed to be used With or Without the Factory Airflow Meter. Also referred to as Maf or Mafless. (Custom Tune is required if installing this intake Mafless) / Trimming of 2 shroud clips is required on the VF Series
Note: The rear of the lower air box may be a bit of a struggle to get past the battery terminal. Remove inner rubber grommet for bit more clearance.
Note: These rubber bellows are designed to be a tight fit, a little bit of force may be needed to stretch it on.
DO NOT USE any lubricants such as WD-40 or Silicone spray on these rubbers as they will keep slipping off even when tight.
Engine Light: Due to new emission laws in 2011 that car manufacturers have had to comply with, the self-learn parameters aren’t as flexible as previous models. As extra air is now entering the engine it may take up to 500 km of driving before the factory computer learns & calibrates itself to the new values. On some vehicles it may trigger engine light to come on. If factory computer doesn’t relearn new values within 500 km a Custom Tune may be required.
